Program Notes

Ventos Uivantes, which translates to Howling Winds, endeavors to synthesize the ensemble, giving rise to captivating compound timbres that dwell in delicate and transitional realms between pitched sound and noise. Simultaneities of singing and playing engender enthralling effects like beatings and acoustic phenomena akin to electroacoustic techniques, such as ring modulation and difference tones. Additionally, the composition artfully incorporates whispering and growling utterances, adding a unique and evocative dimension to the musical landscape. Ventos Uivantes stands as an exploration of sonic possibilities, where the ensemble converges to conjure an immersive and evocative musical experience, reminiscent of the haunting allure of howling winds.
